Detailed Job Description

This position performs skilled work at the journeyman level in the carpentry trade. Typical duties include fabrication and repair of wooden structures and partitions and/or fixtures of wood, wallboard and plywood. Also installs and replaces doors, windows and hardware; may train and supervise lower grade personnel. Must drive from site to site.

Required Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED and (4) four years of paid work experience in this trade. Must have the ability to work from specifications, plans and blueprints. Must be able to lift, handle and maneuver the tools, materials and supplies of the job. Must be able to perform those items in the Job Summary and the essential functions. Must have the ability to use job-related tools and equipment and chemical supplies. May be required to submit a medical history statement from personal physician. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier. May be required to obtain Valid Commercial Driver License within 6 months employment. Final candidate must submit to and successfully pass a post offer drug test. Note to Applicants - Applicants must be willing to participate in a pre-employment skills assessment.
