The IT Technical Specialist III performs advancedprofessional IT activities for a specialized, complex assignment or functionalarea requiring application of an advanced professional knowledge of ITprinciples, practices, and procedures. Requires evaluation, originality oringenuity. May supervise and/or direct the work of project teams or other lowerlevel staff.

Additional Department Summary:

TheWeb Developer in University Relations will serve as the primary developer tothe Division of Student Affairs. This position will provide for the developmentand implementation of application solutions for web based services, andtechnology based solutions for data collection. The Web Developer will beresponsible for redesigning the current Student Affairs webpage andimplementing this in a new Wordpress environment, improving functionality ofStudent Affairs websites through development and developing forms andapplications for websites. The web developer will be responsible for thedevelopment, production, and maintenance of all SA websites.The Web Developer is responsible fordeveloping sites and creating online processes such as applications that wouldinclude capturing, storing and manipulating information within a database.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor'sdegree and 2 years professional IT experience, OR Master's degree in relatedfield, OR any equivalent combination of experience, training, education and/orcertification from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have beenobtained. Knowledge of advanced programming, networking, system, multimedia,instructional technology skills or project management methods and applications.May require intermediate or advanced level training or certification.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Working knowledge of HTML(5), CSS, PHP, JavaScript, CMS development, WordPress, database management andweb security.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, GraphicArts, Communications, or closely related technology degreeanda minimum of two years of experience.Experiencewith wordpress preferred.58 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 37065.60 Midpoint - $ 53747.16
