Executive Director, Ellis Human Development Institute
The School of Professional Psychology (SOPP), Wright State University is seeking an Executive Director to provide leadership and direction in achieving the mission of the Ellis Human Development Institute and the SOPP, to ensure the clinical and educational resources of the SOPP are fully-utilized, to effectively train doctoral level psychology students and provide mental health services to the community. Required: Demonstrated leadership and effective management skills; ability to incorporate the SOPP diversity agenda, ability to work independently; ability to oversee budgets and review financial reports; ability to plan and develop strategic goals; strong writing, public speaking and presentation skills; ability to form collaborative relationships within the University setting and the community; and the ability to transform organizations into highly effective units. The successful candidate must possess a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or a related field from an APA-accredited program, knowledge of the practitioner model of education in Clinical Psychology, be licensed or license eligible for the practice of psychology in the state of Ohio, and have an interest in teaching, scholarship and/or service. Applicants will be reviewed for appropriate faculty rank. Preferred: Experience in public policy advocacy on behalf of behavioral health issues and services.
