Job Responsibilities

Analyzes and responds to faculty and staff curriculum development and revision needs

Provides leadership for faculty and staff development on curriculum design and learning-centered, outcomes-based curriculum

Coordinates all activities related to curriculum development from initial concept to the Ohio Board of Regents’ approval

Provides leadership and guidance for faculty, staff, program managers, deans, and campus presidents in curriculum development, review, and revision processes

Develops and monitors the implementation of curriculum development and revision policies and processes and ensures all curricula developed and revised are outcomes-based in support of the College’s degree requirements and in compliance with Ohio transfer policy: Ohio Transfer Module, Transfer Assurance Guides (TAGS), and Career-Technical Assurance Guides (CTAGS)

Maintains all curriculum documentation (e.g., official course outlines, program maps, and new program proposals; Committee on Curriculum and Degree Requirements (CADRE) minutes; internal and external agency audits)

Monitors and assures technical accuracy and quality in the curriculum and compliance with State and College policies governing curricula

Serves as the College’s technical resource and curriculum liaison with Ohio Board of Regents

Oversees the development, maintenance, and administration of the College’s articulation and partnership agreements with K-12, agency, and university partners

Oversees processes to improve the awarding of timely and accurate credit in accordance with transfer and comparable credit award policies

Works in close concert with the Director, Learning Outcomes Assessment to assess all outcomes-based curricula and report assessment results to internal and external stakeholders

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

Master’s degree and/or equivalent experience

Minimum of five years of work experience developing curriculum in a higher education setting

Experience writing and applying learning outcomes

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

Knowledge of higher education curriculum purpose and design; curriculum development and revision processes; general system rules and regulations; and transfer requirements

Technologically literate and able to use MS Office

Strong analytical writing and editing skills

Ability to manage a department budget

Ability to facilitate work teams comprised of internal and external stakeholders

Accuracy and attention to detail

Strong time management skills and ability to work effectively under the stress of timelines

Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills

Ability to collaborate with both internal and external regulatory agencies

Ability to work across organizational lines and effectively with various disciplinary faculty, program faculty, program managers, and deans

Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population

Standard College hours of business Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
