PART-TIME LABORATORY INSTRUCTOR FOR SLEEP TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM: (Division of Health Professions) Anticipated Start Date: September 5, 2012 with mandatory paid orientation and training to occur in August 2012; position requires Saturday availability within central Maine to serve our hybrid/online Sleep Technology Program option offered in conjunction with the Kennebec Valley Community College. (DCE MCCC/MTA Unit Position)
Under the direction of and in cooperation with the primary course instructor, assists in the instruction of sleep technology students in the laboratory setting including: instrumentation setup and calibration, recording and monitoring techniques, documentation, and patient-technologist interactions using laboratory simulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Current RPGST credential required. At least one year of full time experience in a sleep lab required. Candidate must possess good organizational, verbal and written skills. Must have demonstrated the ability to work as a team member. Associate degree or higher in a related healthcare field preferred. Previous teaching experience in a community college or clinical sleep lab setting preferred.
Salary: $39.51 per hour, no fringe benefits
