The Department of Physical Therapy at Quinnipiac University’s School of Health Sciences invites applications for a 12-month
The School of Health Sciences is located within the Center for Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, and offers state-of-the-art facilities that includes: a model apartment to teach students how to provide care in residential settings; a SimMan suite of life-size patient simulators; and a pediatric and neonatal lab. There are 24 teaching laboratories, including an orthopedics lab, a rehabilitative sciences lab, multiple clinical skills lab, a health assessment lab, a physical exam suite, a physical diagnostics lab, and other special amenities that set it apart from other universities offering health sciences programs. The school boasts cutting-edge equipment, including a 1500 square foot, state of the art Biomechanics/Motion Analysis facility that is utilized for research and teaching. The facility houses a 10 camera Motion Analysis system, 3 AMTI strain gage force plates, 16 channel Motion Lab Systems EMG, Neurocom Balance Master, and a Parvo Medics Metabolic Measurement, and a Biodex System III isokinetic data acquisition systems.

Preferred qualities include candidates that demonstrate strong evidence of a successful scholarly record in rehabilitation sciences and potential to build a highly visible research program via publications in nationally or internationally recognized journals. Candidates for this position should have a demonstrated record of collaborative teamwork and desire to build interprofessional scholarly and academic relationships.
