Detailed Job Description

This position is responsible for writing, routing, and distributing well developed, accurate, timely, effective gift acknowledgment letters, memoranda of agreement, Board of Trustees resolutions, and other University documents for donors or prospective donors. The writer is also responsible for conducting research required for document preparation and for coordination of document reviews and of specific directions received from development officers, faculty members and administrators who have vested interests in the final content of particular documents. The writer is responsible for other related duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, business, liberal arts or a related field and at least two years of experience in a field that requires proficiency in writing, preparing official documents and managing and understanding complex, detailed information and in communicating/coordinating it among several individuals OR a Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field and at least three years of experience in a field that requires proficiency in writing, preparing official documents and managing and understanding complex, detailed information and in communicating/coordinating it among several individuals. Ability to understand precise legal terminology and understand and interpret rules and regulations. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals both orally and in writing. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and with a diverse population. 56 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 28537.56 Midpoint - $ 39956.76 Note to Applicants:Applicants that are selected for an interview will be asked to provide a portfolio of writing samples. Applicants should also be able to provide references who can attest to the applicant's writing abilities.
