The Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences, Metropolitan State University of Denver, is seeking applications for two full-time non tenure-track faculty positions in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics beginning August 2015.
Please note that this posting is being used to fill two positions.
Teach 15 hours of undergraduate mathematical science courses per semester, including evenings and courses in the freshman success program using multimedia and other technologies as needed. A successful candidate must have the ability to work with and be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse urban population.
M.A./M.S in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics.
Doctorate in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics completed by August 1, 2015.
The successful candidate will have strong oral and written communication skills, experience teaching mathematics at the undergraduate level with evidence of effective teaching, knowledge of technology as it applies to mathematics courses, and broad interests in undergraduate education, including demonstrated experience successfully teaching and mentoring diverse, underserved students, including students of color and non-traditional students.
