Detailed Job Description

Support the Media Group's efforts to develop integrated, cross-channel, audience-driven marketing plans. In particular, executes key operational tasks that ensure RISD Media Group's properties and systems are aligned, and continually adapt, to the strategic objectives of the group.  


Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism or related discipline or equivalent education and experience.

Two years of communications or administrative experience preferred, ideally with experience in web process management and project management.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and similar software, with producing and editing HTML files, and with evaluating web traffic with Google Analytics preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and/or Google Apps helpful. Experience working with Content Management Systems preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with strong creative thinking abilities.

Detail oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines effectively.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to positively represent the Media Group to internal constituents.

Appreciation of the visual arts and strong design sensibilities preferred.

Familiarity with the RISD community preferred.
