Quinnipiac University invites applications for a 12 month full-time faculty position in Diagnostic Medical Sonography/Radiologic Sciences to provide campus-based lecture and lab learning experiences for students in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) and Radiologic Sciences (RS) programs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Instruct DMS/RS students and deliver content as needed
  • Provide instruction for development of pre-clinical lab skills as needed
  • Correlate clinical/lab education with didactic instruction
  • Evaluate student performance
  • Work with program directors and clinical coordinators to review and modify curriculum
  • Maintain current knowledge of the professional discipline and education methodologies
  • Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures and student groups
  • Supervise students while on clinical training and conduct assessment of clinical performance as needed
  • Provide service to the programs and the Diagnostic Imaging Department

Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants

Qualifications include:

  • Certified and in good standing as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
  • Certified and in good standing as a Registered Technologist in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree with requirement to obtain the Master’s degree within 2 years of initial employment
  • Minimum four years current employment as a diagnostic medical sonographer (may be full time or part time employment)
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a clinical instructor for a diagnostic medical sonography program and/or radiologic sciences program
  • Minimum of one year experience as a lab instructor for a diagnostic medical sonography program and/or radiologic sciences program
  • Minimum of one year didactic teaching experience in a diagnostic medical sonography program and/or radiologic sciences program is preferred
  • Multiple credentials in sonography is preferred
  • Musculoskeletal ultrasound experience and certification is preferred
