Job Description:

Special Programs Coordinator-Division of Professional Studies & Workforce Development Center

Assist in the development, marketing and implementation of both credit and non-credit courses and programs to corporate clients and community education students. Work with full-time College faculty in the development of new programs. Develop client contacts, proposals and contracts.


  • Provide support, guidance and oversight, both programmatically and fiscally, to projects
  • Serve as liaison for the College with other community college and workforce development partners
  • Support the preparation and submission of reports on project activities and outcomes
  • Assist with financial reporting, procurement and budgeting of program activities
  • Support program staff and faculty in ongoing, external collaborations with industry and business partners
  • Assist in maintaining and distributing all internal communications about program activities, forecasts and programming
  • Coordinate Social Media accounts for updates and communication
  • Bachelor's degree and at least two years of progressively responsible experience with projects that involve multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with continuing and non-traditional education is highly desirable, as is experience with corporate clients and the implementation of grants
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication and presentation skills are required
  •  Must be a team player/leader, and place a high priority on customer service relationships
  • Successful candidates will have project/reporting, budgeting and conceptualization abilities
  • Position requires an efficient, detail oriented, self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and work well with a minimum of supervision; excellent problem solving abilities and conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of area workforce development initiatives preferred.
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population

Bunker Hill Community College is a multi-campus institution with vibrant, urban campuses in Boston, Massachusetts, in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts, and at three satellite locations in the Greater Boston area. Recently re-certified as a Leader College by Achieving the Dream, BHCC is part of the Massachusetts public higher education system, which includes 15 community colleges. Founded in 1973, BHCC is the largest community college in Massachusetts, serving more than 14,000 students each semester across all modes of instruction. The College offers more than 100 certificate and degree programs that prepare students to enter four-year institutions or to enter the workforce prepared for better and more highly skilled jobs. Additional Information

Salary Range: $47,548.00-$50,000.00. Actual Salary Will Be Commensurate With Education & Experience in Accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Full state Benefits.
