Under direction of the Director – Parking & Fleet Management the Parking Field Operations Manager will plan, organize and manage the activities of the parking enforcement officers; ensures compliance with university policies, regulations and procedures related to parking services. Provide on-going training and development for parking officers. Provide excellent customer service to the University community and visitors by ensuring parking accommodations are monitored on a regular basis.
Graduation from an accredited intuition with a bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of education and/or experience related to the summary of duties totaling 4 years. See preferred qualifications for department/program-specific qualifications.
In addition to the minimum qualifications 2 years of supervisory responsibilities and management skills are preferred.
Knowledge of University Parking policies, regulations, and applicable local and state regulations.
Knowledge of License Plate Recognition System, hand-held units, and T2 software.
Knowledge of methods and techniques for traffic control.
Knowledge of management techniques and principles.
Knowledge of principles & methods of employee supervision & training.
Skill in effectively supervising and training employees; mentor and develop employees. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
Skills in Interpersonal issues, problem-solving and decision-making.
Ability to work well independently.
Ability to handle high stress situations and have a commitment to provide excellent customer service.
Ability to maintain related parking equipment.
Ability to organize, prioritize and manage time.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally.
Ability to keep confidential information private and maintain a high level of integrity.
