Detailed Job Description

The Information Infrastructure Programmer/Analyst is responsible for designing and implementing infrastructure services in support of multi-platform use of data and unstructured information resources.
Under the direction of the Information Infrastructure Architect, Design, and implement infrastructure services in support of multi-platform use of data and unstructured information resources.

Analyze systems requirements with technical staff responsible for infrastructure services and ensure that services are implemented in an architecture that ensures services are highly reliable and available.

Provide quality assurance functions on all Administrative Computing application architecture decisions and implementations which rely on data and information resources.

Test and document services to ensure system integrity, reliability and high availability.

Implement continuous integration and testing for information services whenever possible.

Support and training other IT staff on the appropriate use and implementation of new/modified programs.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of systems analysis and design, programming, testing, and delivery with increasing levels of complexity and responsibility or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

At least two years' experience in a distributed, multi-tier, environment with a relational DBMS back-end and web-based front-end.

Demonstrated documentation skills within a standard SDLC/Design discipline (UML, RUP, etc.)

Two years of demonstrable experience with Java, Ruby, Rails, Groovy, or Grails. (any one of the preceding.)

Preferred Qualifications

Oracle DB and DB Programming experience, Banner or other higher education, data warehouse, mobile applications, Java, Perl, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, JDBC, html, jsp, xml, web Services, mobile platform development, ie: html5, Groovy and Grails, Ruby and Rhodes or rails, or any other mobile platform.
