The Payroll Tax Specialist is responsible for the processing and payment of all payroll liability accounts, taxes, voluntary/involuntary deductions and retirement contributions. The Payroll Tax Specialist provides advice on payroll tax regulations, and recommends and implements new and/or updated policies and procedures to ensure compliance. The Payroll Tax Specialist monitors tax records, prepares quarterly and year-end tax forms, including 941, W2 and 1099 forms. The Payroll Tax Specialist is responsible for ensuring successful completion of all payroll cycles in a timely and accurate manner and the communication of disbursement related accounting policies, practices, and procedures with department and College managers. In addition, the Payroll Tax Specialist prepares, analyzes and adjusts financial entries, documents, and reports. Serves as the daily back up in the absence of the Disbursements Manager.
