Job Responsibilities

Provides leadership to implement effective enrollment, revenue tracking, content management, and support systems to assure the productive performance of supervised work units
Meets established enrollment and revenue targets
Leads activities in support of the Colleges Strategic Goals & the President’s Priorities
Directly accountable for budget management and administration; formulates, develops, and recommends annual budget requests
Administers broad direction to activities involved in both institutional and individual program accreditation as it relates to the programs within the Technical Program unit
Provides leadership in curriculum planning, program development and implementation, and program review in the supervised technical programs
Works collaboratively with businesses and the industry to ensure the College has innovative workforce training programs that respond to current community labor market demands
Pursues grant funding opportunities
Takes an active role in obtaining funding and re-funding opportunities
Represents Tri-C by participating in appropriate national, state, and local councils, committees, boards, and organizations as needed
Responsible for hiring, training, developing, and evaluating the performance of assigned staff
Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field AND a minimum of ten years of administrative or managerial experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a related field
Minimum of five years of manufacturing or industry experience
Demonstrated experience performing significant administrative work involving the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of broad-based continuing education, workforce education, corporate training, and community service initiatives
Demonstrated experience in a higher education environment
Demonstrated executive experience planning, assigning, scheduling, supervising and ensuring the quality of the work of others
Demonstrated experience forecasting, planning, maintaining, preparing, and monitoring a business area’s budget
Demonstrated experience effectively making decisions that have significant, broad implications on the management and operations of a division (or equivalent business area)
Demonstrated effectiveness in a role requiring dynamic and abstract problem solving methods in adaptive situations

Ability to independently set goals and determine best course of action to achieve desired results

Preferred Qualifications

Doctoral degree in a related field from an accredited institution
Demonstrated experience in Community College environment

Work Schedule

Standard college hours 8:30 – 5:00. Hours may vary depending on business units needs.
