Detailed Job Description

The Coordinator Residence Life, working under the mission and vision of Residential Communities, will work cooperatively with the Residential Communities staff (Area Coordinators, GCDs, RAs, DAs) to develop, implement, and assess a comprehensive programming and leadership plan for students living in Residential Communities.

Additional Department Summary:

Coordinates and develops opportunities for residents to connect with each other and engage in University sponsored learning experiences. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Living Learning Community partners, Faculty in Residence, Division of Student Affairs colleagues, and other campus partners (faculty, staff, and students). Advises residential student organizations.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or Master's degree. Experience may include supervisory experience, customer service, advising, delegation, communication, management, creativity, creative problem solving and/or general knowledge/willingness to implement programs and initiatives that involves using student development theory. Student or Graduate Assistant, Intern, or student oriented experience will be considered. To be considered student experience, it must be detailed in the employment section on the application.

Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge of student development and organizational theories.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Student Affairs Administration, Higher Education, Student Personnel, or related field. Experience advising student organizations.57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 31969.56 Midpoint - $ 46342.44
