Position acts as assignment and copy editor. It will also require some anchoring and devote a significant portion of time to producing in-depth series and documentaries. Position is also responsible for coordinating the local and regional news portions of the station website.

Additional Department Summary:

Position acts as an editorial and political reporter for Alabama Public Radio, with additional reporting for other media outlets. Position requires significant research, writing and on-air reporting for regular editorials, as well as on-location reporting during legislative sessions. Position develops cross platform content for television and new media outlets, collaboration with colleagues in WVUA-TV and CPT. Mentors student journalists.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least two years experience reporting, producing or writing for broadcast. 55 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 25833.60 Midpoint - $ 34444.80
