Under the direction of the Director of Instructional Design Services, the Graphic Designer, Office of Teaching and Learning, will: design and create video, web, and print media for UVU; plan, analyze, and communicate ideas in a creative and visual way.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree and one year experience in similar duties or an associate degree with three years experience in similar duties or any combination of education and experience totaling five years.
Knowledge of typography, color theory and layout.
Knowledge of creative process for video, web and printed materials.
Knowledge of UI and UX guidelines and trends.
Extensive knowledge of creating timelines and budgets for projects.
Knowledge of Articulate Storyline a plus.
Knowledge of photography a plus
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workload effectively
Skill with customer service standards and procedures.
Skill in a broad range of graphic design computer applications including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator on a Mac platform.
Skill communicating effectively , both orally and in writing
Ability to work and contribute as team member in a collaborative work environment.
Experience in working effectively with vendors.
Ability to produce professional illustrations by hand and on the computer.
Ability to be flexible with creative design and timelines.
