The Culverhouse College of Commerce at the University of Alabama invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in Management Communication at the rank of Assistant Professor effective August 16, 2015.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate classes in Management Communication. The candidate will publish in the field’s leading national and international journals and engage in appropriate service activities within the College and University.

Minimum qualifications: Completed PhD in composition, rhetoric, applied linguistics, communication, or a closely related area. Candidate must have university teaching experience and ability to publish high quality research.

Preferred qualifications: Substantive business experience and a masters degree in a business discipline with the ability to teach management courses (e.g., strategy, leadership, project management, consulting, etc.) at the graduate and undergraduate level, evidence of teaching excellence and one or more quality publications in top business and technical communication journals.

Salary is competitive.
