Detailed Job Description

The Director of Student Programs oversees the ideation, development, and implementation of strategic programs, systems, policies and procedures for the College of Communication Information Studies. Required Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Communication or related field and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.

Additional Department Summary:

In consultation with the Dean, the Director of Strategic Initiatives oversees the ideation, development, and implementation of strategic programs, systems, policies, and procedures and collaborates with faculty, staff, and students in affecting changes resulting in improved effectiveness and efficiency. The position emphasizes the use of technology and data mining in increasing the productivity of academic programs, student services, and research activity.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Communication or related field and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Experience at a major university, graduate assistantship experience considered, with a demonstrated record of the ability to promote efficiency through initiating, developing, and implementing systems and procedures that result in positive change. Experience leveraging data to make strategic decisions required.

Skills and Knowledge:

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills; Ability to execute shared governance and promote collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completed or pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration or related field. Experience with Banner SIS, Argos Enterprise Reporting, Oracle APEX, Qualtrics. Knowledge of organizational and student development theory in higher education. Postsecondary teaching experience. 59 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 42993.60 Midpoint - $ 62337.60
