Assists in the daily operation of the Academic Counseling Center (ACC)and provides administrative support for the ACC. Assists in administering and scoring appropriate career assessments for students/clients. Informs students of university policies, procedures, services, and resources.
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Knowledge of effective student advisement techniques.
Knowledge of content, curriculum, and graduation requirements.
Skill in public relations and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and personalities.
Skill in the use of office equipment and computers, including proficiency in word, powerpoint, excel, and Banner.
Skilled in the performance of standard office work.
Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse group.
Ability to anticipate departmental and student needs.
Ability to work well as part of a team and to build and nurture strategic relationships within the ACC and across campus departments and divisions.
