The Department of Sociology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Sociology. Area and theoretical specialization are open but the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and will be prepared to offer Introduction to Sociology, as well as elective courses that complement the strengths of the Department. This is a one-year, full-time, benefit-eligible, 9 month appointment beginning Fall 2015.
The position is open to candidates who already have a Ph.D. in Sociology or a Sociology ABD with a defense scheduled to occur by May 31, 2015.
