Adler University (Formerly known as Adler School of Professional Psychology) is seeking qualified candidates to fill one full time core faculty position for the M. A. in Counseling: Specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program starting summer 2015.

Duties include overseeing the operation of the doctoral program, teaching both MA and doctoral courses, advising and mentoring students, participation in institutional and departmental committees, admission efforts, advising/ mentoring students, as well as support of department and institutional initiatives. Candidates must be willing to align with the University’s mission and values which is training socially responsible practitioners, engaging communities, and advancing social justice.
Candidates are required to have a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program, experienced in leading a counseling program, program evaluation and assessment, teaching and advising doctoral students, guiding dissertations, supervision of doctoral practicum/internship students, and eligibility for Illinois counselor licensure. Preference will be given to those have expertise in quantitative or qualitative research and Assessment/Appraisal, and are familiar with the CACREP accreditation process. This position requires the teaching of evening and weekend classes. Candidates are also expected to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and professional staff.
