Hemak Endowed Professorship in Maternal Child Nursing Research
The holder of the Patricia and James Hemak Endowed Professorship in Maternal Child Nursing Research will continue to develop a program of research pertaining to maternal child health thereby helping to (i) advance nursing scholarship and research via funded evidence-based research focused upon child health, (ii) enhance the School's visibility by advancing scholarship and research, (iii) strengthen the research-related elements of the School's courses, (iv) support doctoral students interests in becoming nurse scientists and (v) mentor faculty and students in research and practice.
The position is tenured/tenure-track, carries a 9-month appointment, and reports to the Dean. Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
The successful candidate for this position will be eligible for RN licensure in the state of Missouri; have an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field; have a graduate degree in nursing (doctoral and/or master's); have an established track record of federal funding for a research program; and be recognized for scholarly achievements as evidence by academic accomplishments, publications, and service commensurate with the rank of Professor.
