The Department of Kinesiology in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of La Verne is seeking someone with an earned doctorate in Athletic Training or related field to contribute to a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Program (ATP). Must be certified by, or in good standing with, the Board of Certification (BOC). The Department of Kinesiology serves approximately 300 majors in three programs: Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with concentrations in Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) and Kinesiology – Health & Human Performance. This position is integral to the departments CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Program (ATP). This is a full-time, tenure track position at the assistant professor level and begins Fall 2015.

The Department seeks someone with scholarly productivity in the field, as well as experience as a practitioner in the field, with evidence of successful college/university teaching experience in a CAATE-accredited ATP. Position is expected to teach content specific courses in area of expertise, and potentially take on leadership in the ATP program. Student advising and committee work is required, as well as maintaining a record of scholarship, publication and professional activities to assure department and university visibility.
