UTAH VALLEY UNIVERSITY. The Department of Management of the Woodbury School at Utah Valley University (UVU) invites applications for a new position of Assistant (or Associate) Professor of Organizational Behavior and Leadership beginning Fall, 2013. The person hired for this position will join a group of seven full-time, tenure-track faculty who are academically qualified in and experienced in teaching organizational behavior and leadership.
The Woodbury School of Business, is the largest business school in the Utah system of higher education. It serves more than 4,000 undergraduates and 80 graduate students. Located in Orem, UT, a vibrant family-oriented community, UVU has quick access to some of the most fantastic outdoor activities in the U.S. including hiking, rappelling, camping, skiing (alpine and cross-country), fishing, hunting, mountain biking, hang gliding, all within 40 minutes of a major US airport and metropolitan area.
The Woodbury School of Business is accredited by the AACSB and offers an MBA, ten Bachelor's degrees along with six minors, and eight Associate's degrees. The MBA and Bachelor's degrees in business and accounting require organizational behavior classes and the School has a Center for the Advancement of Leadership (CAL) which we support with several classes.
Under the direction of the Department Chair, and the Dean of the Woodbury School of Business, the Assistant/Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior and Leadership will teach 9 credit hours of management courses per semester. Courses can be undergraduate or graduate level, as assigned by the Department Chair.
The main responsibilities of this position include:
-Maintain "academic qualification" as per AACSB standards through regular, scholarly activities including publishing in peer-reviewed scholarly journals, presentations at academic conferences, and other scholarly work,
-Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses as assigned by the department,
-Collaborate with and provide input to the Center for the Advancement of Leadership and the Organizational Behavior interest group in the Department,
