Faculty Position – Full-time Tenure, Department of Nursing. This posting is being used to fill two positions.
Teach upper division courses in the nursing program. Teach 24 credits per academic year including evenings, on-line courses and weekends using multimedia and other technologies. Plan and provide theoretical instruction and clinical or laboratory experiences that reflect an understanding of the mission, objectives and program’s curriculum. Design, implement and evaluate curriculum. Participate in academic advising and guidance of students and be sensitive to the educational needs of students from a diverse population. Conduct student assessments and evaluate student achievement. Orient, mentor, and monitor clinical faculty and preceptors. Participate in program, curriculum, and department policy development and evaluation. Develop, implement, evaluate and update the purpose, mission and objectives of the nursing education program. Develop, evaluate, and revise student policies including admission, progression, retention and graduation. Serve on department, school and university committees. Participate in the tenure track process by active engagement in scholarly activities that support professional development and by providing service to the university and external community. The successful candidate must be willing to adhere to policies and procedures regarding students and faculty as established by the University and Department.

Master’s degree from a nursing education program with national nursing accreditation + active unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in CO + 2 years of full-time, or equivalent, professional nursing clinical experience.
• Doctorate in nursing or relevant field.
• Experience teaching or conducting relevant training or workshops relevant to Nursing
• Experience designing, implementing and evaluating curriculum
• Experience advising or guiding students and/or providing efforts to promote persistence and degree completion
• Experience engaging in or knowledge of research or scholarly activities relevant to the Nursing field
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for under-represented groups.
