Detailed Job Description
The Assistant Director, Testing and Assessment Services, is a full-time, professional position responsible for assisting the Director with the day-to-day operation and supervision of all four Testing Center locations and for assisting with the development and implementation of college and departmental policies and procedures relating to Testing. Specifically, the Assistant Director will help coordinate the administrative oversight of the college placement exam (ACCUPLACER), proctoring services for students and faculty, national certification exams and additional assessments, such as CLEP, and proctoring services for other institutions. The Assistant Director will help with the implementation of best practices and initiatives, which advance college retention, inclusion and innovation.
Master's degree in education, psychology, psychometrics or student services related field required. Specific coursework in testing theory and/or testing and measurement preferred. Community college administration.
Minimum of three years of experience in administering testing, analyzing testing or working in a testing environment.
Minimum of two to three years of evaluative supervisory experience required.
Minimum of two to three years post secondary experience required.
Working knowledge of ADA and federal and state regulations governing the delivery of services to students accommodations required.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and student database management systems required.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability and willingness to deal effectively with faculty, staff, the public and a diverse student population.
Ability and willingness to work and travel to all campus locations.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
