Detailed Job Description

Supports and collaborates closely with the Dean/Leader of their assigned college/unit. Leads the comprehensive development efforts for two colleges or units. Operating within approved University and Foundation guidelines and strategy, personally manages an assigned portfolio of donors and prospects. Responsible for identifying and qualifying prospects, engaging and cultivating current and prospective donors, directly soliciting donors for major and other gifts, and stewarding donors.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a directly related field and three years experience related to the Summary of Duties or a combination of education and/or experience totaling seven years.

Special Requirements of the Position:
Ability to freely navigate the entire Orem campus, visits other campus locations, and attends local and national meetings and events.
Must have personal transportation or means to travel to meetings at other sites related to the nature of this position.
Valid Driver’s License

Knowledge

Knowledge of fund raising procedures and techniques.
Knowledge of effective web-based search engines and search strategies.
Knowledge of academic operations and governance.
Knowledge of gift planning strategies.

Skills

Skill in standard office productivity software, which must include MS Office programs.
Skill in problem solving and decision-making.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Experience with administration, including methods and techniques for the preparation and analysis of budgets and the review of expenditure with conformity with budgets.
Skill in effectively managing records and databases.

Ability to think conceptually, globally, and understand the comprehensive operation of an institution of higher education.

Pay Range

$41,804 to $55,739 annually
