Detailed Job Description

Develops and implements policies, programs and financial objectives for Office for Financial Success in the Woodbury School of Business (WSB) Personal Financial Planning (PFP) Program at Utah Valley University. Participates in preparing department budgets and in setting center goals. Ensures continuity and quality customer service between University departments and community.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with an appropriate degree in a field of study directly related to the summary of duties plus professional experience related to the program or discipline. See preferred qualifications for discipline or program-specific minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

Earned degree with a Masters or Ph.D. in a directly related discipline and with a minimum of three years of experience in a similar type of position.


Knowledge of the CRP certification process and standards.
Knowledge of the Woodbury School of Business and the Personal Financial Planning Program at UVU or at a similar institution.
Knowledge of community counseling, processes and procedures.


Skill in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.
Skill in maintaining appropriate research and scholarly activities to enhance instructional activities.
Skill in organization and leadership necessary to complete strategic objectives.


Ability to teach financial counseling and related courses in addition to management of the center.
Demonstration of the ability to manage budgets.
Ability to work effectively with people.
