The Instructor will report directly to the Dean of the School and will provide 15-16 credit hours of instruction per semester of freshman and sophomore level biology classes.
Responsibilities include instruction which could include the following courses: Introduction to Biology; Ecology; Vertebrate or Invertebrate Zoology (depending on experience) and Environmental Conservation. Responsibilities will also include organizing and maintaining laboratories in biology; developing and revising instructional materials as appropriate; keeping student records; assessing students; advising students; maintaining a safe laboratory environment; maintaining a minimum of 4 office hours per week; assisting in recommending and orienting part-time faculty; and working with college councils and committees as assigned. Other duties as related and assigned by the Dean of the School. Instruction times will include day and evening courses, and may include instruction at the main campus, east campus (Aztec) or the west campus (Kirtland).
