Providing safety and security of the University Campus including property, students, staff and other individuals on campus property.
Primary responsibility for dispatching officers throughout their patrol shift using computer aided dispatching software. Dispatching response to all emergency situation throughout campus. Contacting emergency services when appropriate. Monitoring CCTV cameras to mitigate potential security and safety concerns. Keep accurate records of visitors on campus, lost and found items, key check out/in. Point of contact for University van check out/in. Direct incoming phone calls to the correct departments.
Excellent customer service skills; Excellent telephone etiquette; Ability to enter information using various computer programs; Ability to communicate effectively in high stress situations; Ability to use a two-way radio; Available to work different shifts as needed.
HS diploma or equivalent
Experience in a dispatch setting.
