Department:

Palatka

Provide leadership for and coordination of academic and administrative activities including but not limited to academic advising, admissions recruiting and course scheduling.

This position will require advising and other administrative duties out of the Palatka Office, but work will also be expected in surrounding communities and at our Orange Park and St. Augustine Offices.

Basic Function:

Support the University’s mission and core values as a contributing member of the University’s community. Perform as the primary assistant to the Director for the NEFL Center Offices located in Palatka, Orange Park and St. Augustine. As well as acting as the Director during periods of his/her absence.


Supervise and coordinate all personnel and administrative activities in the assigned office.

  • Maintain/update student files, Recruitment of new students
  • Provide marketing leadership to the NEFL Staff
  • Plan and execute marketing activities
  • Coordinate with NEFL Staff and Faculty to create appropriate course matrix
  • Advising new and returning students
  • Register students in Datatel system including, but not limited to: Tracking graduation status; Completing or assisting with student paperwork (PUR, graduation applications, clearance, etc.); Tracking student course loads
  • Coordinate student field placements
  • Track student overloads.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Center Director. This includes new student orientation each term; assist with telephone and written correspondence and course scheduling.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

Experience with academic administration. Excellent supervisory and customer service skills. Ability to effectively plan and organize work. Excellent computer skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
