FULL-TIME EDP ENTRY OPERATOR II: (Human Resources and Payroll) (Haverhill Campus) 37.5 hours per week (8:30 AM to 5:00 PM). AFSCME Unit Position. Anticipated Start Date: April 6, 2015
Enter and or edit information via Human Resources information databases. Process unemployment claims and employment verifications. Review and data input work study payroll. Maintain accurate system data, review problem data, check for discrepancies and make corrections as necessary. File/scan materials such as correspondence, reports, applications, etc. Answer telephone calls and provide routine information concerning department services. Process forms, routine correspondence; schedule conferences, meetings, appointments. Maintain confidentiality of employment records and HR activities as appropriate. Act as back-up for other staff in Human Resources. Reports to the Director of HR.
Applicants must have at least one year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, clerical experience in the operation of data entry equipment. Strong knowledge and understanding of the use of database systems required. Must have excellent word processing skills. Must be able to work accurately with names, numbers, codes and/or symbols and have strong attention to detail. Must be team oriented. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint required.
Associate degree, experience working in Human Resources and bilingual Spanish/English.
Salary: $612.98 - $812.60 per week $31,874.96 - $42,255.20 annually) with full fringe benefit package. An appointment from outside the bargaining unit (AFSCME) must start at Step 1 of the range. (Step 1: $612.98)
