Detailed Job Description
The Farmer School of Business invites applications for the position of department chair in the Department of Finance. The department has faculty members in the fields of finance, insurance, real estate, and law.
The department chair leads the strategic initiatives of the department and is responsible for the operation of the department, including budgeting, staffing, scheduling, supervision, and mentoring. The department chair will serve as a member of the School's Executive Committee and will report to the Senior Associate Dean of the School.
Applicants should have a Doctorate in finance or a related discipline applicable to teaching and scholarship in the finance area, and should have a distinguished and ongoing record of both teaching and research that would merit appointment as a tenured full professor in the Farmer School of Business.
Applicants should have demonstrated effectiveness in an administrative capacity and the ability to interact with a wide range of constituents including faculty, students, administration, alumni, and the business community.

The compensation package is commensurate with qualifications. Start date for the position is August, 2015.
