Full-time, 180-day contract position with direct responsibility to prepare and deliver high quality, day, evening, weekend, satellite, and/or on-line courses in the Computer Science and Information Systems department. Traditional and on-line course development and facilitation; academic advising; research and development of potential certificate and program offerings; participation in student learning and outcome assessment, engaging students to foster academic success; participation on college committees; participation in college, division, and department meetings and events; mentor faculty; professional development opportunities; marketing of programs; articulation with other colleges; support quality improvements in department, division, and college; and other duties assigned by the department.
This position is key to the implementation and advancement of Emerging Technologies in computer technologies and computer related areas especially in mobile technologies and video game design. This individual will be instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of these courses, as well as supporting other IT programs including those that are targeted to be developed for on-line delivery. This position is critical to the IT Division, to ensure the quality of Information Technology programs and the introduction and integration of cutting edge research.
Bachelors Degree in computer science or computer-related field required. Masters degree preferred.
Minimum of one year experience in mobile applications, game programming or game design required. Three years experience in college level teaching of computer-related technologies with associated industry experience is required. Experience in at least four of the following areas: Eclipse, iOS, Android, .NET, C#, PHP, CSS, SFML, Unity, Blender, HTML 5, or Game Design.
Licensure or Certification Requirements:
Current computer-related and/or mobile technologies related certifications is a plus.
