Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position in the Division of Critical Care Medicine, Department of Pediatrics at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center. The candidate must be BC/BE in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and be eligible for licensure in Missouri.
The Critical Care Medicine Division has a tradition of providing outstanding medical education and patient care to the St. Louis community and surrounding region. Clinical services include a newly remodeled 18 room pediatric intensive care unit that admits approximately 1000 medical/surgical patients per year, and which supports cardiothoracic surgery, heart, liver and kidney transplants and ECMO. The PICU admits its patients through the Emergency Department (a level I Pediatric Trauma Center) with over 50,000 visits per year and a dedicated pediatric transport team. Numerous research opportunities exist within the Pediatric Research Institute of SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center and the Saint Louis University Health Sciences Center and Medical School. SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center is a 190 bed, free-standing tertiary care children's hospital with a complete range of surgical and medical pediatric subspecialties. CCM faculty is an integral part of a traditionally strong categorical pediatric residency program and a newly accredited Pediatric Critical Care fellowship training program. The Department of Pediatrics at Saint Louis University, which staffs SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center, is comprised of 110 fulltime and part-time faculty members.
