Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care and service, is seeking applicants for the full-time position of Program Director, Graduate Endodontics in the Center for Advanced Dental Education. The Center at the Saint Louis University Medical Center, currently offer a certificate and Master of Science degree in endodontics, orthodontics or periodontics.
The Program Director is responsible for the overall conduct, organization, and accountability of the residency program, with the goal to ensure that residents receive excellent training and education and the standards of the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association are maintained. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding leader to direct a quality program without the constraints of a dental school. The position is a full-time clinical or tenure/tenure-track position reporting to the Executive Director of the Center. The Program Director is part of a team whose responsibility is to provide excellence in our Center's education, patient care, community service and research missions. Qualifications for this position include a dental degree and Board certification in endodontics, teaching and mentoring experience, at least 5 years of academic experience or equivalent, eligibility for licensure in the state of Missouri, and evidence of scholarship to qualify for an appointment at the assistant or associate professor level. The successful candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills; possess skills in teaching and mentoring residents and faculty, scholarship, clinical excellence and demonstrate commitment to diversity and inclusivity. Leadership and/or administrative and supervisory experience and experience with CODA accreditation are desired. Rank and salary are commensurate with training, experience and academic accomplishments.
