The Data Coordinator will support community agencies, which focus on juvenile justice issues, by conducting
database training, analyzing data, measuring outcomes and collaborating with agencies to create a replicable model of restorative justice hubs.  This is a role, which is financed by a one year grant.


Provide database training for restorative justice hubs in communities

  •  Promote consistency and ensure standards are met amongst community agencies
  • Develop consistent training amongst community agencies
    • Assist hub sites with organizing and updating relevant data using database applications
    • Document, evaluate and provide suggestions for current data collection items
    • Utilize database to document activities, progress and generate reports
    • Assist community agencies with reporting needs

            o     Serve as a quality control agent

  • Support key indicators with effective database training
  • Provide benchmarks, feedback and course correction advice
  • Administer and interpret metrics to ensure a sound evaluation         
  • Collaborate with community coordinators to enhance data collection process
    • Assess potential sites’ current level of documentation and areas for growth

     o     Share best practices and resources related to data collection and evaluation

  •   Assist in creation of a manual to replicate model of restorative justice hubs
    • Participate in needs assessments, focus groups and interviews
    • Compile, research and evaluate reports using quantitative and qualitative analysis
    • Assist in evaluation of community organizations to assess capacity to implement restorative justice


B.S. in criminal justice or related field; Master’s degree preferred


  • 2 years of experience working with community is required
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, SPSS and database experience is required
  • Experience with report writing, documentation and process improvement is required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills are required
  • Exhibits resourcefulness, initiative and follow-through skills
  • A valid driver’s license and a car are required to travel to the west, north, south and south suburbs of Chicago
  • Restorative justice experience is preferred
