The Department of Human Development and Family Studies in the College of Human Environmental Sciences at The University of Alabama is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor clinical faculty position (Non Tenured). The successful candidate will assume responsibilities for teaching academic courses, directing the Capstone Family Therapy Clinic and supervising graduate students in the Marriage and Family Therapy program. Advising and mentoring undergraduates are expected as is serving on departmental, college and university committees.
Minimum qualifications include applicants who have a doctorate in MFT or closely related field and are an approved AAMFT licensed supervisor. To qualify for the position, candidates will have a minimum of three years teaching experience in higher education, experience as a marriage and family therapist, strong interpersonal skills, including effective oral and written communication skills, and active participation in marriage and family therapy professional organizations.
This position is a non tenure earning renewable three year contract. It is renewable each year based on performance, need, and funding availability.
