Monitor the daily functions of Graduation Office. Supervises Graduation Advisors. Provides training and information to staff, students, faculty and community members regarding policies and procedures affecting graduation. Approves degree requests. Responsible for commencement related activities assigned to office. Works with Manager of Degree Audits and Director to locate and graduate all students that have completed degree requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline plus two years of staff level experience in Summary of Duties or equivalent education and experience totaling six years.
Knowledge of content and curriculum.
Knowledge of graduation requirements.
Knowledge of student advisement methods and techniques.
Knowledge of training and supervisory practices.
Skill in word processing, spreadsheets, and Database software, including Microsoft Office Suite and Banner.
Skill in filing and records management.
Skill in training and supervision.
Skill in conflict resolution.
Skill in the use of the Transit tool.
Ability to work independently on a multi-task level.
Ability to prioritize and follow-through to completion.
Ability to work with diverse personalities as well as management personnel.
Ability to solve problems creatively.
Ability to anticipate departmental and student needs.
