The Director of Marketing and Brand Management is a key member of the Marketing & Digital Communications directorial leadership team, and works in close collaboration with the Associate VP for Marketing & Digital Communications and the Associate VP for Media Relations and Stakeholder Communications.
The Director serves as critical member of the University Communications directorial leadership team, to lead and manage day-to-day operations of the branding and marketing function of University Communications.
The Director is responsible for managing UB's brand, marketing strategies, marketing communications, and market research, as well as collaborating with university and unit-level communicators to ensure the ongoing successful realization of the university's brand strategy.
The Director is the university's functional brand steward, responsible for ensuring that institutional positioning, image, and brand standards are developed and adapted in support of the organization's overall strategy.
This position will be responsible for building on a clearly defined marketing strategy and platform that supports the university's goals and advances the university's brand strength and market position.
Minimum Education/Experience: Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience is required. A minimum of 10 years full-time experience as marketing or communications manager in higher education, government or non-profit organizations is required. Five years of supervisory experience is required.
