Detailed Job Description

The Segment Producer researches and produces specific content for use in multi-media programming for broadcast and non-broadcast audiences.

Additional Department Summary:

On air talent/producer to maximize the exposure of the Athletic Department by creating content to use on and send out nationally to other news outlets.

Required Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and 3 years of experience, or bachelor's degree and one year of experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Requires experience in a broadcast or multimedia production environment. Experience as an intern or student assistant will be accepted. To be considered, it must be detailed in the employment section on the application. Ability to travel extensively, work long hours, and work on weekends and holidays as necessary. Ability to lift, handle, and maneuver tools, materials, and supplies of the job up to 10 pounds. Skills and Knowledge:Must have exemplary on-air presentation skills to include excellent verbal communication and interviewing skills. Ability to operate video and video editing equipment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to meet deadlines, follow priorities and schedule work on several projects at once. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to judge and act independently. Creative and artistic skills. Working knowledge of computer and graphic design related skills. Working knowledge of multiple types of cameras and shooting styles. Proficient in the use of Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop.

Preferred Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communication, Telecommunication and Film, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field and experience with athletic media strongly preferred. 55 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 25833.60 Midpoint - $ 34444.80 Department/ Organization:600122 – Crimson Tide Productions
