Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a Post-doctoral Research Fellowship in Sustainability Education at the Center for Sustainability, starting in the summer of 2015.
Established in 2010 by a grant from the Alberici Foundation, the Center for Sustainability provides a unique, multidisciplinary master's degree in Sustainability, a master's of Urban Planning and Development, a joint MBA and Master's of Sustainability in conjunction with the John Cook School of Business, and a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Advanced Remote Sensing. Also, the Center for Sustainability includes the Norman J. Stupp GIS Research Laboratory and the Center for Environmental Sciences, supporting earth and atmospheric research. Description: The Center for Sustainability is seeking applicants with expertise in sustainability, sustainable urban planning, STEM education, or a closely related field. The individual selected should have outstanding credentials in interdisciplinary and educational research and a strong desire and ability for publication and funded research proposal submission.
Responsibilities include conducting sustainability and sustainability education research, submitting research proposals, and publishing research results.
Qualifications: Successful candidates are expected to have completed a Ph.D. by May 2015. A Ph.D. in Sustainability, Sustainability Science, Forestry & Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Urban Planning, or closely related discipline is required. The successful candidate is expected to have a record of scholarly research and publications. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
