Detailed Job Description

Serves as Admissions Counselor and provides administrative support in the University's efforts to identify and enroll qualified students and will be an on-campus and field representative of the University of Alabama. The primary duties are to support the recruitment and admission of new students to the University. These duties may include, travel, interviewing, making presentations, promoting the University of Alabama and screening applications.

Additional Department Summary:

Provides support in the University's efforts to identify and enroll qualified undergraduate students and will be an on-campus and field representative of the Capstone. The primary duties are to support the identification, recruitment and admissions of new students to the University. These duties include visiting high schools, attending college fairs, making presentations, screening applications, and communicating orally and verbally with prospective students, their families, high school counselors, alumni and friends of UA.

Required Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in business, public relations, marketing, communications, education, counseling or related field. A minimum of six months of experience to include student recruitment, university admissions, public relations, marketing, sales, communications, education, counseling, or related experience or for at least one year in college you were an active member of a student organization or in a student leadership role. To be considered student experience, it must be detailed in the employment section on the application. Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: - Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier. 55 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 25833.60 Midpoint - $ 34444.80
