Detailed Job Description

The Parking Enforcement Representative monitors the University campus to ensure compliance with University regulations, including parking and bicycle.

Additional Department Summary:

Under moderate supervision, this position has enforcement responsibilities, provides information to Faculty/Staff, Students, and Visitors, and works during special events on Campus.

Required Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED and 1 year of experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to use the tools and equipment of the job. Ability to walk for extended periods of time during various weather conditions. Ability to lift and maneuver various tools and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier. Final candidates who are not current University of Alabama employees must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred work experience: automobile maintenance, working outdoors, warehouse, automotive retail, stocking/receiving, construction, or other manual labor role.

Prior to hiring, the final candidate(s) must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation. A prior conviction reported as a result of the background investigation DOES NOT automatically disqualify a candidate from consideration for this position.
