Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit Institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care and service has an immediate opening within the medicinal chemistry group for a research scientist/academic position in the Department of Pharmacological and Physiological Science. The primary purpose of this position is to conduct research in the area of medicinal chemistry and/or organic synthesis.Essential tasks that must be performed:
-Synthetic Organic Chemistry
-Extensive literature review
-Thorough research documentation and record keeping
-Laboratory upkeep and maintenance
This position requires the holder to have a minimum of a Ph.D in Chemistry with a minimum of 10 years of experience in medicinal chemistry in an industry setting.
Preferred requirements for the position are a Ph.D in Chemistry with a minimum of 0-3 years of experience in medicinal chemistry in an industry setting.
As Post-doctoral Fellow, the holder of this position must have ability assimilate information, reason well, and to conduct research in full compliance with standard accepted practices. The holder of this position will be expected to perform these duties in a professional manner and to abide by the Collected Rules and Regulations of the University Systems.
