QUALIFICATIONS:Applicants must have an earned doctoral degree in nutrition or a closely related area from an accredited university and be a Registered Dietitian. The preferred candidate will have experience and success in writing grant proposals, excellent communication skills, and demonstrated competency in using various methods of information technology for course delivery. Experience as a dietetic practitioner, relevant teaching experience, and peer -reviewed journal publications are desired. We are seeking a creative, energetic, and visionary leader with great passion in dietetic education for the management and growth of the DI program.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This faculty position includes 25% administrative appointment for the role of the DI director, 25% research, and 50% for teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The DI director provides leadership and implementation of the dietetic internship program, builds productive relationships with key partners, and enhances the dietetic program. The DI director will be responsible for implementing all ACEND dietetic internship accreditation requirements, including, but not limited to, preparing reports and updates, advising, and recruiting students. The successful candidate will also guide graduate students to conduct research.
