Detailed Job Description

The IT Technical Specialist IV performs advanced IT activities for specialized, complex and/or functional areas requiring the expert knowledge and professional application of IT principles, practices and techniques in accordance with industry standards and university policy. Requires a great amount of evaluation, originality or ingenuity. May be responsible for training, assisting or supervising lower level IT personnel and other staff. May lead projects and cross-functional activities.

Additional Department Summary:

Under general supervision of the K2 Administrator (Senior Systems Analyst) and Financial Affairs Information Technology (FAIT) leadership team, the Systems Analyst position will be responsible for performing a variety of duties in the planning, implementation, administering, and facilitation of our K2 workflow and business automation system. These responsibilities include troubleshooting, training, and day-to-day support for numerous workflows being utilized by the campus community. A qualified candidate will have programming experience and be required to develop reports and interfaces.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional IT experience, OR Master's degree and 1 year of professional IT experience, OR any equivalent combination of experience, training, education and/or certification from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been obtained. Knowledge of advanced programming, networking, system, multimedia, instructional or security technology skills or knowledge of project management methods and applications. May require advanced level training or certification. Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier. 59 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 42993.60 Midpoint - $ 62337.60
