The Department of Mathematics and Science is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, non-tenure track, faculty appointment to teach undergraduate major biology or general education non major life science classes at our University Campus in Saint Leo, Florida.
Requirements of the incumbent include, but are not limited to teaching a minimum of eight (8) classes per year with up to two (2) overloads for additional compensation and advising students.
This is a nine (9) month, full-time faculty appointment at the Lecturer rank.
This position is pending final budgetary approval for the 2015-2016 academic year.
Review of candidate materials begins immediately for anticipated start date of August 2015. The faculty member will be required to:
• Teach 8 Biology and/or Life Science classes per academic year with two overloads for additional compensation;
• Advise students as need determined by department chair;
• Attend all School and Department meetings;
• Teach on-ground undergraduate classes;
• Be able to teach traditional and non-traditional age students.
A Master’s degree or Ph.D. with at least 18 graduate credit hours in life sciences or a closely related field with two or more years of full-time teaching biology and life Sciences at the post-secondary level are required. The degree must be from a regionally accredited institution.
